If you are experiencing issues such as no audio during calls or your recipient being unable to hear you, please follow the steps below to configure your headset or audio device with the CloudCall O1 desktop application.
Step 1: Open the Sound Settings
1. Click on the Start menu (Windows logo in the taskbar).
2. Select Settings (gear icon).
3. In the Settings window, click on System from the left-hand sidebar.
4. Choose Sound from the right-hand pane.
Step 2: Select Your Headset
1. Scroll down to the Advanced section and click on More sound settings.
2. A new window labelled Sound will open. In this window, click on the Playback tab.
3. Find your headset in the list of devices. It should be labelled something like “Headset,” “Headphones,” or the specific model name of your headset (in this example "Plantronics Blackwire 5220 Series").
Step 3: Set as Default Communication Device and Default Device
1. Right-click on your headset in the list.
2. From the context menu, click Set as Default Communication Device.
3. You will see a checkmark next to your headset indicating that it is now the default communication device.
4. If you like the ringtone to play when an inbound call comes into the CloudCall o1 desktop application and DTMF tones play when interacting with the keyboard in the application, you will need to right-click on your headset in the list again and choose "Default Device".
5. After these settings are implemented only the headset should show as the "Default device"
6. You will also need to do the same steps above for "Headset Microphone" or device of your choice microphone under the "Recording" Tab.
Step 4: Confirm the Changes
- Click Apply and then OK to save your settings.
- Your headset is now set as the default communication device for voice calls and other communication purposes.
